Two cute kids-If I do say so!!!

Update: Cory is feeling much better! I am so glad. He is such a huge help around the house and with the kiddos. WE LOVE YOU DADDY!

Have you ever had a song bring back a memory or an event? I was driving the other day, going somewhere with the kiddos, and I heard a song that just got my brain running. If you like country music maybe you have heard the song "The House that Built Me." Plus, we have our high school reunion coming up in a few weeks and it hit me 11 year since I graduated and left home! WOW!!! I love keeping up with everyone on facebook, but it will so fun to SEE them! Cory and I got to talking last night about high school, awww...memories!! We even stayed up extra late 10:30 haha! You know that's where we first laid eyes on each other. The love of my life, we are truly blessed. I think I will have Cory get the old yearbooks down from the attic, its time!! I can't wait to hear what Evan has to say. I will post some fun pictures of the good ole days as they say even though these days are pretty great! Here's to a happy Friday and a joyful weekend!

Enjoy!

Doctor Update.....

Update on Cory: As you all know this started out as a really bad sinus and ear infection, so they gave him meds to help. But what we didn't know was that this med can make your blood pressure sky rocket, which it did. So they are watching his blood pressure for the next two weeks and they put him on a different sinus med, the cat scan showed a lot of sinus build up in his head so that is what they think is causing the severe headaches. He had more blood drawn Wednesday and everything looks great. We are just waiting to see what this new med does. Cory has returned to work and I talked to him at lunch and he said he felt pretty good. Not out of the woods yet, but a little closer.

Happy Thursday!

Just Hanging Out

Today we are staying home and resting. The kiddos and I have been up at school cleaning my room for the last two days. My classroom was a mess, guess that's what happens when you are on maternity leave for the last 10 weeks of school, not that I am complaining. I love being home with the kids. Next year I am moving to 1st grade, so excited! Just waiting for a teacher to get all her stuff out so I can move mine in. Evan is playing in the playroom and Marti is taking her morning nap. Cory will be home soon to get ready to go to the doctor. Let you know when we know! As for me, its time to clean and do laundry and figure out what to cook for lunch. Here are a few cute pictures for your Wednesday.

Sweet Girl!

Smiling for Daddy!

I saved the BEST for last!!!

Is this picture funny or what?!?
I wanted to take pictures of the kiddos and Evan wanted to
watch TV. Poor Marti! LOL
I said, "Evan, watch how you are holding Marti."
Evan replied, "Mom, I got her!"

Smiles for your Wednesday!

And She Smiles....

Marti has been smiling for weeks now but I couldn't catch it on camera. We did today! Enjoy!

Smiling so big that it made her eyes close!
Look at that red hair!

Update: Evan is over the tummy bug! Cory is still sick, we spent Saturday afternoon in the ER, after blood work and a cat scan we still don't know. All test are normal! He has a regular doctor appointment Wednesday so we will see. In the ER, his blood pressure was way high and he had a major headache so we were thinking high blood pressure, but his blood pressure has been normal the last few days and he still has a headache. The doctor Wednesday wants to see all the blood work so hopefully we will know something soon. Waiting and praying!

Blessings,

The Bug

Evan is going on day 5 of this awful stomach bug. He had it a few days last week and I thought by Friday we had kicked it, he felt great over the weekend then it started again. I was concerned that it might be something else so I called the doctor yesterday and talked to the nurse, she said the tummy bug is lasting about 10 days. YIKES!!! That is a long time for a little one to be sick. Evan has done a great job of making it to the bathroom in time, but his poor bottom. The kid has had more warm baths this week and we have had many great chats, played games, read books, and even named the potty (FROGGY). Evan picked the name. I mean if you have to be in the bathroom for a while and your tummy hurts you might as well have a little fun. POOR BABY!! Evan got up a few times last night with his tummy hurting, but seems to be feeling ok this morning. He is snuggled up on the couch and watching Wonder Pets. Cory is still not feeling all that great and on top of that I have had a sinus headache for two days. The only one well is Marti and I hope hope she doesn't catch any of this. We are all sick of being sick, but for today we will just rest and pray this ends soon.

OH- the only thing Evan wants to eat is OREOS. He said,"MOM, I love cookies."

Take Care!

A Few Sweet Moments....

I was sitting here thinking about the last 8 weeks and how times truly flies by. That's right, Marti is 8 weeks old. Where does the time go? We are so glad she is here!

Ready to go home! 2 days old

So Sweet! Great-Granny and Marti

Oh Evan's chin! He spent the night with Cory's sister and the three kids the night before
I was induced. The girls had a soccer game, Evan and Parker were
playing on the play ground and Evan busted his chin on the slide. Brandy was so upset that he got hurt and I was in the hospital.

Enjoy!

Swimming makes you hungry!!!

Kellan jumping into the pool! Fearless!!!

They had to have their hats on the same way!
Silly faces!!!

As soon as Kellan left Evan was out, they played so hard! We had so much fun! Kellan come back to see us!!
