Fun Friday Night

I totally forgot to tell you about our Friday night. I have been consumed with school stuff. Friday Cory's dad (PawPaw) came into town to see us. He wanted to go eat and take the kids school clothes shopping. We had such a great visit and the kids had a blast. It is so much fun letting and watching him help Evan pick out clothes and he LOVES it. Evan would say, "Yes, PawPaw I do like that." So ready for my Iphone to get here so I can blog on the go...it will make life so much easier! I HOPE!!! Plus I can take pictures without having to haul the big camera around.

I Don't Think I Have Sat Down ALL Day!

What a busy and productive day!!! First thing this morning I started laundry and then got ready for a Grandma Shower. We had a blast!! Then I grabbed lunch for the family, shoved my food down my throat and off to school we went. We took down cubbies, moved them and then painted, Cory put up all sorts of stuff and moved a ton of furniture. We were at school for about 5 hours. The kiddos even took a nap in my classroom. But I feel so much better that things are starting to come together! Maybe I will sleep tonight without making list in my head at 2a.m. Around 5:30 we headed to eat some yummy Chinese food and then hit the grocery store. After I put up all the groceries I started cleaning and finishing up laundry while Cory got the kids ready for bed....bath and all. I just sat down to check messages and rest a minute then its time to fold laundry, shower and maybe get a movie in. Tomorrow I will head up to school after church to hopefully finish my room set up and get all my books for my training/meetings all week. I will not be on my campus all week, I will be running all over town for training! That is why I have to get my room ready..........Meet the Teacher is this week!!! We had a good day just hanging out at school. My husband is the best and so supportive of teachers! He knows how much work/time is spent and why we do what we do! Hope you have a fab Sunday!

Hello My Friends....

I know its been a few days....life has been a little busy! I have been running all over town to meetings, picking up kiddos, swim lessons and back to school to work on my classroom. It will not get much better till school actually starts. I am truly loving all the meetings and training, it feels good to be back after months off. I had an opportunity to meet with a few of our new teachers (who will join our Literacy Team) today and tell them all about our Literacy Collaborative Team. It was a huge compliment for me to be asked to share my story and classroom with these teachers. I am super excited about the up coming year! I love the start of school....new clothes, new kiddos, new school supplies, and the excitement of the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Love Love Love it!! Moving on.....Evan had his last day of Summer Swim Lessons today, they have a two week break before the Fall Session starts....... only on Tuesday and Thursday. So that won't be bad, plus he loves it. Miss Marti is just talking and really starting to giggle! It is so cute! We were finally able to catch it on video! I have recruited Cory to help move and take down shelves at school this weekend....really he is happy to do it! That is about all that is going on. Hope you have restful and enjoyable weekend. And don't forget to always to a little something for yourself, even if it is just 10 minutes!

Our Trip

We made it back from Dallas LATE last night (early this morning).......1:00 a.m. The kiddos slept most of the way! Cory didn't get out of his training till around 5. We had a great visit and wonderful food (YUMMO FOOD) with family. Evan had a blast....here are a few pictures.

Dallas here we come....

Well after three days of packing and about one to many bags, I am finally done! Kids require a lot of stuff! We are headed to Dallas this weekend....Cory has a training. So me and the kiddos are going to hang out with family all weekend! We are really looking forward to our visit. Evan is so excited, he even told his teacher that he was going on a trip! I will take lots of pictures. Have a great weekend!

I have packed snacks, movies, and toys......Pray for us!!! Maybe they will sleep all the way....probably not. We plan on making many "get out and ran" stops.

4 Month Check Up

Marti had her 4 month check up and shots today.....she gained a little over 2 pounds (13lbs and 3 oz), grew 2 inches (24 in), and her head is measuring 16 in. She is an average size baby, which is great since she was born at 37 weeks and 6 days. She loves to put her toys in her mouth, roll and scoot on the floor, and loves loves to sit up...she thinks she is a big girl. She has started eating green beans, carrots, applesauce and bananas. Dr. Reese said she is doing great and you would never know that she was born early. After her doctor appointment we ran a few errands and ate lunch with Aunt Amber. Just us girls.....

Love the Rides to School

This morning I was putting the kiddos in the car so we could head to school. Evan said, "Mom, I need sugars." Then he said, "Mom, your kisses make me feel better." Awwww.....my heart just melted. He is such a sweet kid! So just about every morning Evan sings in the back seat and talks to Marti. This morning was no different, I just turn the radio down and listen to the sweet music coming from the back of the car. I love how Marti is now starting to join in the mix. Oh- the conversations Evan has with her.....I need to put the video camera in the car because it is too precious. I love our kiddos to the moon.

Today after I dropped the kiddos off at school, I headed to the mall to do a little school shopping. Now I am eating lunch and about to head to school to work on my classroom before swim lessons. Oh- I need to order my new Iphone.....So excited and yes I am getting Cory one too. You know he is dying to get the new one. I have loved my blackberry but I think its time for a change, Cory loves his iphone now, but I know he wants to update. I better get to school.....Love to all!!!
