Cute Kiddos

Here are a few random pictures from the last couple of weeks. Since, we have been sick, I really haven't had a ton of energy to take lots of pictures. We are feeling a little better. Evan had pink eye this week, for the first time ever! It wasn't too bad! Cory is on the road to recovery after having the flu and my body is slowly (I mean SLOWLY) recovering from whatever I had. I hope all the sickness is gone for awhile! I will be THANKFUL, I will be THANKFUL...Okay, so back to the pictures....Have a great week.

The bible lesson today at church was about Joseph's coat and the brothers that
sold him into slavery. The kiddos made "coats"

Snuggling with the Princess

I must say......I LOVE staying home even thought Marti and I are sick. Cory is feeling much better and headed to work and Evan is at school. I went to the doctor yesterday and have some virus that is causing my skin to break out. I am feeling a little better today, but the medicine is making me nauseous. Poor baby girl is so sick, all I can do is hold her. She will see the doctor today at 1:30. She is laying in her bed resting right now.....see how long that last. I am snuggled up in the big computer chair with a blanket and all my favorite things around me. I have a glass of unsweet tea, books, magazines, journal, and all my favorite blogs. The TV is on in the background with reruns of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (you know you like to watch it too). It was on the cooking channel, but that was not helping my tummy issue. Isn't it funny how you can feel nauseous and every food thing comes on. I will leave you with a few new quotes I wrote in my journal this morning. Then I am going to squeeze a nap in before the doctor.

"Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful."

"Don't be sad that it is over, but happy that it happened."

"The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18

"The difference between a dream and a goal is a PLAN."

"Things which matter MOST must never be at the mercy of things which matter least."

"What would you attempt if you knew you could not FAIL."

"Life is simple. Everything happens for you, not to you. Everything happens at exactly the right moment, neither too soon nor too late. You don't have to like it....its just easier if you do."

"You can either run from it or learn from it."

Love theses!

"Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down."

(Great one from one of our friends on Facebook)
Food for thought:
When it comes to your marriage if the grass looks greener on the other side, then its time to water your own yard!

I will end with this one:

Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes? But when you look back everything is different! (So True!)

Nap Time!

Sick of being SICK/New Year

Well, I would like to say that this New Year has been pretty good.....WE have been sick a lot!!! We are just sick of being sick. It has been an endless cycle. If there is something going around, guess what, we have caught it. Cory is going to the doctor tomorrow. I am so tried of seeing doctors. We have spent so much money, we could have taken a months vacation. I keep thinking maybe we will all be sick now and the rest of the year we will be healthy. Here's hoping that is true. Sorry, I do not have any cute pictures.....I mean I do, but I am not in the mood to upload them.

On a better note:
Cory and I celebrated our 8th, yes I said 8th, Anniversary a few weeks ago. Time flies when you are having fun or chasing kiddos or going out of your mind! LOL I really do love that guy. He is so good!!!

Marti will be walking before we know it. She is already letting go and free standing. YIKES! What happen to our baby. You know, she will be a year in a couple of months! We have been thinking about party ideas and such.

Evan.....what can I say about our little man. He is getting so big. He is writing his name, making letter sounds, and loving school. He is at the movies with Aunt Amber watching Tangled right now. He loves MOVIES!

Cory and I thought a lot about the new year and how we wanted this year to be defined. We decided on two words for our year......LIVE and MISTAKES.... We are always so by the book/rule and we both have been feeling moved to grow out of our comfort zones (for awhile).
We don't know where this will lead us.....but things are all ready on the move and being put out on the table for us.(I will let you know, when we know.) Its all very exciting and we know that we must trust and believe that there is a greater plan for our lives. WE WILL TRUST! WE WILL HOPE! WE WILL BELIEVE! WE WILL LOVE!

Here is to you LIVING and all your MISTAKES! Make it GREAT-this is not a dress rehearsal!

Much Love,
Crys

Nap Time

I wanted to make Evan a new nap mat cover, blanket, and pillow....his other one was getting pretty rough looking. Today, we headed to the fabric store, Evan got to pick out the fabric he wanted me to use for his nap time things. It only took about...hmmmmm....30 seconds! He found what he wanted...Spiderman!!!

This is the mat cover. The mat will just slide right down into it.

The blanket.

The pillow and blanket.

All three together.
He was so excited. He even had to lay down on them, just to try them out.

Happy Sewing!

to deliver food baskets to a few elderly homes. (about 400)
It was a great morning and Evan loved every minute and the people
were so grateful and just loved Evan. We were truly blessed!

There's Murray!!! We surprised the kiddos a week
before Christmas. Evan has been asking for a dog for about 3 months now.
Every time you ask him, "what would you name a dog?" He would always say Murray.
She is a Weimaraner and will get about 70 lbs. We are training her to stay in the house...she is very smart!
