The Big Night......

at church was so much fun! We started out with a hot dog picnic, then we hit the games, took a train ride and finished off with a yummy snow cone.

Safety Day @ Swim Lessons

This post is pretty long...go get a snack and get comfy!

Evan is truly enjoying swim lessons and ask everyday what time is it, time to go mom? Cory and I have really been impressed with the staff and the quality of teaching. This is Evan's last two days of this session, he begins a new session Monday. Well, the last two days of lessons the kids are taught to swim to safety with extra clothes on and a life jacket. Just incase they fall in the water. They also taught them how to yell for help and throw a life saver to someone yelling for help. Evan was too cute throwing a noodle to his teacher, who was yelling HELP HELP! He did a great job....then it was time for the DIVING BOARD. YES! the diving board! They show the kids how to jump off and swim to safety. Here are a few pictures.......

He kicked his little legs as fast as he could to the ladder!

And I was there waiting for him with a big smile.....

He gave me a big high five and a big jump!!!

"I did it!", he said and got in line for another turn!!!

We are so proud of you little man!!!

We were headed to the car and daddy called. "How did the diving board go?", Cory asked...So I put Evan on the phone....."I jumped off the board daddy." I am so glad he is loving the water!!!

Tomorrow they get to play on the rope swing and swing into the water!!!!! So much FUN!!! What a fun way to end the session! I am so excited to see the progress he will make in the next two weeks....he has already improved so much!

They do swim lessons/classes year round....we have decided that it would we great for Evan to keep going! He is not old enough for any of the other sport activities yet so we think this is wonderful for him! Plus, he needs to know how to swim and if he wants to take diving lessons or become part of a team this is a great start!

Well, its nap time! We have a "Big Family Night" at church tonight. Should be tons of fun....jumpers, games, and great food and friends. I will take pictures.

We are so proud of Evan!!!! OH- in all my excitement I also forgot.....Sarah took our family pictures yesterday evening! Can't wait to see them, she is awesome. We started out at the house and then went to a field to finish up. Marti's shoot is Friday morning! Ok-I guess that is all I have for now!!

It was an early morning after staying up late last night, but worth it. Good Family time!!! Church, lunch, and now time for a nap. The kiddos are already out for the count. Marti acts like she doesn't feel all that great.?. We will see how she feels after a nap. Have a great Sunday!

A Break from the Weather

We got a little break from the rain last night, so we decided to go out to eat. Murray's is one of our favorite spots, its a Deli, and with the weather being so rainy and cloudy it sounded so good. They have the best soup, sandwiches, and salad. OH and the Cheesecake is to die for!!! We are going to have to start getting Evan is own piece, he LOVES cheesecake, just like his daddy. Then we headed over to Sam's to get a few things and then home to play outside while the sun was shining.

Story: Cory and I bought our first house a couple of years after we got married and did a lot of remodeling. It was a great house and we lived there for about 4 1/2 years. Then last summer we decided that we wanted a new and bigger house. So after our vacation to South Padre we put the house on the market, it sold in 5 DAYS!!! We were excited......but we needed to find a house soon or we would be moving into an apartment until a house came along. We look at so many houses and didn't find anything we liked. We had decided to go ahead and look into apartments and wait for a house to be built......Then this little beauty came along! Thank goodness because that is the time we found out that we were expecting baby #2. It was a very stressful time, but we think it worked out great!

We are planning to go to the Drive -In tonight, if the rain will hold off. Evan loves the drive in, we take our chairs and open the back of the Tahoe and get some yummy snacks! Its so much fun!! Double feature....Despicable Me (the newest cartoon-looks so funny) and Grown-Ups...I bet we only make it through Despicable Me, but we will see!

It's Raining. It's Pouring.....

The kids are in bed snoring! LOL. A little cheesy I know, but the kids really are fast asleep. And its raining again! I really have enjoyed the low temps we have been having and I am not looking forward to 100 degree weather again. 70-80 degrees is just perfect! Here are a few pictures of the rain. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. It looks like we are ordering in and snuggling with our two cutie pies tonight.

Its off to do laundry and clean a little while I have both hands free!
