The Pool is Open

Summer is here and our pool is finally open! We have a GREAT pool in our

neighborhood. Evan will have his birthday party at our pool, which is just a few weeks away. Sigh....3 Wow! We have two large pools and two kid pools plus a club house. Its only 2 blocks from our house, so we can just walk there. The school I teach at is right across the street which is great because the kiddos will go to my school and when they are older they can just walk home. We live in a great area and we love it. I will have to post a few pictures of our house later.

Evan had so much fun Saturday. We spent a couple hours swimming then

headed home to grill some steaks. Evan loves the water so when we got home he wanted the slip n slide out. He slept really good last night. LOL

Today is Sunday, we had plans to go to Lubbock after church to see mom and take Evan to Joyland. Marti was going to spend the day snuggling with her nana and Evan was going to have mom and dad all to himself. Oh- and of course ride the train!! HE LOVES TRAINS!!! But.... as I was in the middle of getting two kiddos ready and myself Cory sends me a text message from church saying "I have an ear ache and I feel drunk." So I call him and say, "I think you have an ear infection, come home." See our church has 3 services and Cory is the music sound guy so he is at church from 7 -1 every Sunday. The kiddos and I come later, for now anyway, I teach Sunday school and work the check in desk, but since I just had a baby I took a little break, I will start back in July. Anyway........I called one of those emergency clinics, thank goodness they were open. Cory came through the door walking with his head to the side because of the pain. I send him back out the door, he gets all the way to the clinic and oops he forgot his wallet. So he calls and I give all the insurance information over the phone, I'm glad Marti was taking her morning nap and Evan was playing. Cory finally calls, after seeing the doctor, he has an inner ear infection and a lot of sinus build up. 1 shot later and 140 dollars worth of meds, he is napping. Just let me tell you he has had this sinus junk for 2 weeks and mister I don't need to go to the doctor has learned his lesson. GO to the doctor !!!! Hopefully he will feel better soon and we can plan another weekend trip to Lubbock.

Guess me and the kiddos will find something to get into today after they nap.

I think I need a nap now!!

Shopping Adventure

Aww...... the kiddos are napping. I got the house picked up and the last load of laundry in the washer. Now its time for me to catch up on e-mail messages and rest a bit. We had a fun morning, Evan needed new shoes (I think we buy new shoes every 3 months. The kid just keeps growing!) and so we hit the town for a little shopping action. Of course trying to get two kids and me ready is an adventure in itself. It has been an adjustment going from one to two kids, but we are having so much fun with them. Marti woke up this morning so happy and just smiling, so I got the camera out hoping to catch one of her cute smiles. NOPE didn't happen-30 minutes later I decided we better get going. So here are a few pictures of our morning.

They always measure the kiddos feet to see exactly what size they need.

Today the lady said, "Hi Evan" and Evan replied, "This is my new sister."

He is such a proud big brother.

Fun Lunch

Today we headed over to Odessa to have lunch with Brandy (Cory's sister) and the three kiddos. Parker and Evan are buddies, they are about 15 months apart in age. They always have a blast when they get together.

We had a great lunch and the kiddos enjoyed playing. They are soooo funny when they get together and a little wild too!!!! Evan and Marti were fast alseep before we made it out of Odessa!

A Few Cute Stories

Today is Hat Day at school, but before we could leave...

Evan says, "Mom I have to ride my horse first."

Evan loves Toy Story, so the Woody Hat was a must!

Marti- 7 weeks old today!

Sleeping about 6 or 7 hours at night!

(I am super excited about that.)

Oh Wait! Aunt Amber stopped by she has to be a Super Hero too!!

Aunt Amber finally got to hold Marti for more than a minute.

Evan thinks when Aunt Amber comes over, she comes just to play with him.

(I don't know how he ever got that idea..... Aunt Amber!)

Story:

Amber came over Tuesday to have Cory look at her computer. It was time for Marti to have her bath, so Amber and Evan followed me into the bathroom. Here's the conservation..

Amber - Evan is Marti going to get a bath?

Evan - Amber come play with me.

Amber - In a minute I am watching sister get a bath.

Evan - Well, mom is washing her. (Translation - Amber you are not busy and you came to play with me...I will share mom and dad, but I will not share Aunt Amber!!)

Amber and I laughed so hard.

Oh- the IPAD!

If you know Cory he loves Apple Computers and all their toys.

Cory got an ipad a few days after Marti was born, played on it a few days.....

Then Little Man figured out how to watch all

the cartoons he wanted and Cory has not got to touch it since.
