Thanksgiving

Is Thanksgiving break really over? Yep! I am enjoying my last few hours off before the work week starts EARLY in the morning. Good thing Christmas break is right around the corner. Which reminds me that I have got to finish Christmas shopping. YIKES! We had a great time with family and friends over the last few days. Wednesday afternoon we headed to Lubbock to spend the night with mom and finish up a little cooking. We were up bright and early, ready for every one to arrive. We had a great time eating, chatting, and decorating stocking for Nana's fireplace. Friday we were on the road again for the Brownlow Thanksgiving, we had a blast catching up with some old friends and family. Hope your break was lovely!!!

Ready for a Break!

Where to begin.... We have had a wild couple of weeks. Both kids have had the tummy bug. Evan is SLOWLY getting over it. Plus, he had some type of allergic reaction that caused him to break out in HIVES! (Possibly Nuts) Very scary!! After a trip to the ER, he seems to be feeling better. They put him on two types of meds which make his tummy ache a little.....Not fun! We met with his doctor this week and she suggested allergy testing. (Step 1 in narrowing things down) So this morning we headed to the hospital for blood work. I was super nervous! Evan did GREAT..he didn't even cry. The nurses were so wonderful and I was very thankful for their kind words to Evan. It will be about a week before we know any thing. We have to carry an Epi-pen with us now and send one to school with Evan. I hope we have some answers by the end of next week. We are so ready for him to just FEEL good!!! Cory and I have missed a ton of work the last few weeks but when it comes to our kids, you do what you must do. We are leaving town for a couple of days and are very much looking forward to hanging out with family and just relaxing for awhile. With that said, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and remember all that you do have.

We will be Thankful and Praise Him, for He is good!
You make all things work together for my good!

I almost forgot.......Marti started crawling last week. I was so Thankful that I was home, Evan was sick, to catch it all on video! All you hear in the background is Evan saying,"Mom, sissy is doing it!" and then he let out this grand laugh. My heart just melted! God knows a Mother's Heart! .......Now Miss Marti has figured out how to pull up.....WATCH OUT!!!

It's Beginning to Look a LOT like Christmas.....

Time is just flying by....Well, we have been sick with the tummy bug. Marti got it first and was the last to get over it. Poor baby! It has been a long 6 days. But on the bright side, I stayed home with the kiddos most of the week. It was just lovely!!! We are feeling much better and hope the kiddos have a great day at school tomorrow. I haven't decided if I am ready to go back but none the less I must. 7 school days till we are out for Thanksgiving. HURRAY!!! I did a little online Christmas shopping and Cory dug out all the Christmas stuff from the attic. I just didn't want to wait till Thanksgiving. Plus, I had time on my hands... Here are a few pics of us putting up the trees and the final products.

Look at that cute baby!

Evan workin' hard-he was SO excited
This is the kiddos' tree.

The big one.
The kids tree has all of Evan's hand made ornaments
and a few ornaments that were given to us for Marti last year.
I ordered Marti's First Christmas stocking and ornament. I can't wait till they
get here. I will post pictures.

Evan's first ornament that he made for mom and dad at school.
He was 5 months old.
Marti's new favorite thing....BOOKS!!!
Being silly
Cute little drawing....I found many of these around the house.
So sweet, when you walk into a room and that is what you see.

Have a wonderful week and stay warm.

The kids in their New Shoes!!! Marti got white KEDS....I love KEDS!
Evan got Nikes(He didn't grow out of the other ones, it was
just time for a new pair)...He was running and jumping all over the store...
Mom, "I can run fast with these shoes."
Halloween Pictures
Uncle Chad's Mask
Passing out candy! He LOVED it!
He would open the door before they got to the door.

He got a little grumpy....

Have a great week!

There may be pain in the night
But the JOY comes in the morning
And when the oceans rage
I don't have to be afraid
Because I know that you love me
Your love never fails...
